Ateker Cup of Nations Qualifiers to Kick Off in Ngora

The Ateker Sports and Arts Foundation (ASAF), under its Uganda organizing chapter for the Ateker Cup of Nations, has set the qualifiers to take place from December 27th to 29th, 2025, at Ngora High School grounds in Ngora District. This tournament aims to unite the Ateker people through sports, promote cultural heritage, and scout for talented players.

Silver Osurit the Head of Operations notes that Teams from Teso subregion and Bukedi thats to say; Kumi, Ngora, Katakwi, Kumi municipality, Serere, Soroti City, Amuria, Busia, Tororo, Butebo, Pallisa, Bukedea, Kapelebyong Kachumbala and Soroti, are eligible to participate.

Here are the key criteria:

• Eligibility: Teams must be from the regional level and below, with no big league or Premier League players allowed.
• Age: Open to all ages, with a focus on teams with players 25 and under.

According the CEO Ateker Sports and Arts Foundation (ASAF) Olupot Isaac, top winners in this competition will book 4 slots to join 28 super talented teams from Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda in the international Ateker Cup of Nations massive competition, representing the Ateker football community across Africa.
