Arteta Breaks silence on the Impact of Timber’s absence

With the arsenal premier league top spot dominance being edged out by Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester City, the gunners whose battle to perform beyond last season’s disappointing ending have stayed on a look out towards the return of their Key injured players. Among arteta’s key henchmen are Jurrien Timber one of the additions brought from Ajax to bolster Arsenals defence and Thomas partey who plays a key in Arsenals midfield.

 Acoording to Arteta Verbatim;

Jurrien Timber’s injurywas a huge blow.

“Everyone could see from day one what he was going to bring to the team.

“The versatility, the quality, the leadership. And an ability that we did not have in the backline. It was a huge blow.

“It was a huge blow as well losing Thomas [Partey]. We had other plans as well with him, to become very versatile and unpredictable in our way of playing.

“We have not had them and that is difficult. We have them in the building, which is a joy. But we have not had them on the field as much as we wanted.”

Arsenal limps into 2023 with a struggling stretch that has been termed by pundits as ‘the worst performance of the season’ on the final day of the year. This follows their 2-1 loss to Fulham that came from behind to walk away with the 3points before West-hams horror leaving arsenal with just 1 win in the last five league games
